//Product Review: Maybelline Illegal Length Mascara

I was pretty excited when I saw the Illegal Length mascara in the Target cosmetics department. The whole idea of fiber extensions mixed right into the mascara sounded pretty interesting, and I adore long eyelashes. So I decided to give it a try.  I bought it in "very black" and washable, and tried it as soon as I got home! So, here's my quick review.

I really like the brush, it's pretty big and it doesn't leave clumpy pieces. The mascara itself isn't heavy, so you don't get eyelashes that look like wolf-spider legs! The fiber extensions are really awesome if you can get them to stick to your lashes, but it's really tricky to get them just right and it's almost impossible to evenly distribute them on your lashes without over-applying the mascara. But they look pretty natural and definitely make your eyelashes look a lot longer, IF you get them on.  

I would give it 4 stars. I like it a lot, it's a great product. Something to be careful for: If you rub your eyes at all, the fiber extensions fall off of your lashes and hurt VERY MUCH if you get them in your eyes!! Just a heads up. ;)

{february ♥ inspiration}

Ok, so it's February.  The only month where it is totally acceptable to wear pink & red at the same time, and don lots of heart-shaped accessories for the first two weeks of it.  Or maybe you show your holiday spirit by waiting until February 15th to buy thirty-five bags of clearance candy and chocolate.  Or perhaps you're the dreamer type.. then you definitely prefer to spend these weeks (or maybe all year..) watching all of the chick-flicks and romantic comedies that you can get your hands on.. and probably indulging in one of those mini ice cream buckets. ;)

So whether you're going to be celebrating Valentine's Day, Single's Awareness Day, or just totally boycotting the whole thing.. here are a few fun, random ideas for whatever you want to use them for. :)

Valentine's Day Cookies! I love cookies. One of my favorites, Peanut Butter Blossoms. This recipe is from my sister's blog, and it's soo yummy. But to make it a little more, say, Valentine-sy, I used heart-shaped Dove chocolates instead of Hershey Kisses.  The only problem was that they were so delicious, I gobbled them all up before I took a picture. FAIL. ;)

I love the entire Baby Lips line!  This one is a really great casual red. I like red lips when I see them on the red carpet, but honestly when I see a girl sporting crimson lips around town..it just doesn't look right.  The Cherry Me color is still a pretty noticeable red, but less like.. "Hey look, RED." Plus it smells and, yeah, tastes, amazing! {And only a few dollars.. :) WIN!}

Monday = complete. Success! Now only six more days until everyone's favorite day of the week Patience, people...

So far this week is great! I tried out an awesome new place for lunch yesterday called McAllister's Deli.. I loved it! I had a delicious grilled chicken ceasar salad, and my sister couldn't finish her turkey sandwich..so I finished it for her. {seriously, I get sooo hungry after church on Sundays, I could eat an entire buffet. alone.} Anyways, it was a great time of fellowship with new friends, and some delicious food. :)

Today I finally got back into my school work stuff..yeaahh baby. :P Actually it's no so bad, I'd rather do school than sit around being bored!  We made some yummy sandwiches this afternoon for lunch. We used french bread, dijon mustard, pepperjack cheese, & deli turkey.. then toasted it in the oven for a few minutes. yuuuum! It was amazing. And then homemade cinnamon rolls for DINNER! hahaha...yeah it's one of those days. 

Well, I'm going to go see if there are any good movies on Netflix instant.. wish me luck. ;)

Hey everyone! Happy Friday :) I feel so incredibly out of touch from blogging since I haven't had any internet all week. but here's what I did without it!

1. I moved into my new house! Unfortunately I don't have any pictures. :oP

2. I visited the local mall, and it has a TIFFANY & CO. !!!!!

3. Baked chocolate chip cookies, brownies, and rosemary bread! And that's pretty much all that I have eaten all week. ;)

4. Bought new shampoo & conditioner! That's a big deal..right? Well it is to me. ;) I actually really like it, and it was on sale at Target for 2 for $5 :)

5.  Ok so this one is maybe a little mean to my sister {writer of the finding beautiful blog}, but she had these enormous grasshopper/cockroach kind of bugs in her room the other night. She FREAKED out. ;) Anyways, we learned that you can keep them away by combining Borax and vinegar and spraying it around the room. Now her room smells like she has been dying Easter eggs in there all week. ;) But it's totally bug-free!
