Almost there!!!

I know I said that the previous post was the last one for 2011, but..i might have lied a little bit.. I'm sorry =/

HAPPY {almost} NEW YEAR!

Last post of 2011!

2011 has gone by soooooo fast! It was a great year, but I'm really looking forward to the exciting things that will happen in 2012. One thing that we're currently working on is moving to a new state. I'm pretty excited! I've never been there before, but it sounds like a nice place. :o)

I never make new years resolutions.  But I made a list of 5 things that I want to try to do this year. Nothing super big.. but I think they sound exciting;)





If I actually end up doing any of them, I'll definitely post about it on my blog:) 

To make me sound even MORE boring than I already am, I also never do anything cool on new years eve. Yes, I know, super lame. ;) My sister and I usually do try to stay up til midnight. Not that staying up late is hard anymore, but remember when you were little and you always wanted to stay up til midnight, but could never make it?! lol:) Anyways, we usually watch movies and eat popcorn..or whatever else we find in the kitchen that looks yummy;)

I LOVE shimmer, sparkle, glitter, all of it. Not in excess; just subtle, glamourous shimmer. And what is a a better time to talk about my favorite shimmering products than right before New Years Eve?! Sparkle is an essential accessory for any NYE gathering. Here are some of my favorite glistening body products:

Olay Quench Body Lotion Plus SHIMMER!
I LOVE this stuff. I use it everyday, and I just love it. {Did I mention how this is my favorite lotion?} It smells nice, makes your skin soft and smooth, and adds the perfect hint of sparkle and less than $10 :)

For more sparkle: Bath & Body Works sparkle spray. LOVE. I have this one {Carried Away}, but I also realllllyyyy love the Twilight Woods one.  It's a nice, mature, bright shimmer. They cost  $14 when they aren't on sale, but BBW does alot of sales and specials.

I've posted about this one before, and it still stands as one on my all-time favorite eyeshadows. It's definitely a makeup must-have!! They come in a variety of colors, the one above is the "not just nudes" collection, which is excellent for everyday wear. But they have several wilder, night-out appropriate shades, too:) I bought mine for about $5

Believe it or not, it actually does work. Why is it in a post about shimmer? It has tiny little sparkles in it! I really like this stuff. It makes your hair feel ultra soft, adds shine, and subtle shimmer that is noticable in the right light. Very pretty and less than $3!

My sister at Finding Beautiful is trying to teach me how to do cool blog stuff, so this time I am doing the "High Five for Friday" thing she did with another blog:) Soo..five things I did this week? Here goes!

1.) CHRISTMAS! duh. It was awesome:) Celebrating the birth of our Savior with family and friends is always a highlight of my year.

2.) Decided to start blowdrying my hair more often. haha;)

3.) Spent some time watching the Andy Griffith show with my amazing boyfriend;)

4.) Spent way too much time on Pinterest...

5.) Bought a new sweater at Target! And some Olay facial toner. :)

It's the most wonderful time of the year

I LOVE Christmastime!  A wonderful time of celebrating the birth of our Savior, and spending lots of time with the people you love the most {or maybe all of the people who make you absolutely crazy}.

And I finally have all of my shopping and wrapping done! That feels awesome. :)

This picture just totally makes me laugh!! I love it. I have no idea who made it or where it came from, but I think it is SO funny!

Everyone is on Christmas break starting sometime this week...except for me. Because I am moving in January. Hmmm... Oh well, better late than never! ;o)

So there are alot of people from my church who have all suddenly come down with the stomach flu (one of my BIGGEST fears!). And I was babysitting for a family that all ended up getting sick the afternoon after I babysat, and I shook a lot of hands at church today, and my tummy kinda hurts now. Mental-panic-sickness or the real deal?! Ahhhh...! I am so paranoid with sickness. lol My sister and I were like, "I think my stomach hurts! Maybe I'm just paranoid. Maybe I'm going to wake up at 3 am and throw up! I'm probably just worrying myself over a giant air bubble in my guts. But maybe not!" haha I'm praying that I'm not getting sick. Because that would be a very, VERY sad and miserable thing for me.

Ok moving on..

I love knitting!! haha I went to Joann's fabric/hobby/craft store a few days ago {I love that place!} and I honestly was not intending on purchasing anything. I was just there with my mom and sister while they were looking at jewelry making stuff. But then I got distracted by the most beautiful blue-green yarn, and it was so soft and pretty... So I picked a coordinating neutral/tan color to go with it and now I'm knitting a striped scarf:)  I'll try to post some pics once I actually finish it.

{Try these!}

I received an awesome BzzAgent Campaign this month! I got free samples of Maybelline Baby Lips lip balm and Great Lash Lots of Lashes mascara. I love them. The lip balm is wonderful. My favorite one is the "Quench" flavor. It's just a clear one, but I love the taste/smell, and it lasts for a lonngg time. The playful colors make getting ready easy with a quick application and a pretty smile:)
I also loved the mascara. I was already a Great Lash fan anyways, but the design of this brush makes the application soo much easier and with a lot less clumping!

Wow. December?? Seriously?! Wow. Wow. Wow.

I love this time of the year though, especially all of the glittering lights and delcious treats! ;) I've been trying all kinds of tasty recipes that I find on Pinterest, I'm going to gain so much weight by the New Year! lol
I am so in love with the inspiration that Pinterest has brought on. I want to try everything! My latest thing that I am most proud of: I made my own shine spray for my hair!! Super easy, and super cheap! Here's how I did it!  I had a small bottle of shine spray, but I ran out.. and I really didn't want to spend any money on more.  But after looking at some things online and putting my own brain to work, I thought of this: Baby oil. I've used tiny amounts of it on the ends of my hair before to tame fly-aways, and it worked great! And I also had some baby shampoo on hand, so I mixed about a teaspoon of each with water in the bottle. Voila! It works! The finished product makes your hair really soft, and it smells like a baby;)

Today I went out to Target {my favorite place in the world!} and I was very excited to see that they had a bunch of cosmetics on sale/clearance! :o) I ended up just buying some Revlon lipstick, eyeshadow, and eyeliner. I love wearing new makeup, it just makes you feel extra special:)

Good morning!  I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Now is when all of the Christmas madness begins! Baking, shopping, family & friends, remembering the birth of our Savior, I love this time of the year!  Yesterday I baked some amazing sugar cookies, I was so proud of myself. ;) They are incredibly full of fat and sugar {but sooo worth it!!}. lol ;) I'll share more later. <3

Hello Readers :o)

I love November!  I am a huge fan of summer, but I adore the fall weather! Probably because I finally get to weat my favorite jackets and sweaters, and I'm a sucker for scarves.  I've been a slacker with my blog though, I've been too busy reading other blogs that I find on Pinterest. ;) I've been having way too much fun trying out new stuff that I find on there.  So far I've experimented with countless hairstyles and nail designs, we've built a small decorative table, candleholders, pallet signs, a pallet headboard, and tons of other fun and pretty little things.  Don't even get me started on the recipes. ;) I am..truly..a Pinterest addict.

Other than that, I've really only been busy with school. Cool, huh? ;)

Nails!

Hey! I was feeling inspired to do something fun with my nails today. I recently saw pictures of a wedding where the colors of the bridesmaid dresses were coral & turquoise, and I LOVED the combination! So I decided to try to do something like that with my nails. :)

I love polka dots, so I experimented with my DIY skills and this is what I came up with!
(TIP: Use a nail file on the ends of the toothpick to make it flat. Doing this makes it easier to make a polka dot, and the dot will be a more perfect circle.) 

For my first design I just put the polish dots directly onto my nail. Pour a little of the polish onto a paper plate, some thick paper, wax paper, whatever works. Then dip the filed end of the toothpick into the polish, and then apply it to your nail! Easy enough, right? Put it in whatever pattern your heart desires, I focused mainly on the tips for mine. But you could definitely do it all over your nails. :)

This one is my current favorite, I think it's a little on the summer-y side, but I love summer.. soo...;)
I painted my entire nail with the coral color (obviously..) and then used a filed toothpick to make a band of dots near the tips. I think it's cute:)

Long Overdue....

So.. I've been REALLY bad at posting lately.  It has been over a month since my last post.
But I have to admit.. it's mostly because I have a new addiction to Pinterest, it's like the coolest website ever. Seriously.  When I'm not doing school, sitting at my piano, or with friends & family, you could probably find me either Pinterest-ing or trying out something new that I saw on there. :)

I've had alot of fun trying out new hairstyles, nail designs, recipes, decorating ideas, makeup techniques, everything! It's cool. I used to think that I was kinda creative until I saw the neato things that people are posting on there!

Welllll annyywayyss.. I'm like.. really bored right now! hahah I love lazy Friday nights, but not as much as I love busy Friday nights with my friends. Those are much more fun.
Some of my favorite things to do on a Friday night {yep, another list!} :
1. Hangout with friends..my boyfriend..family..or several families:)
2. Go out for FOOD. haha I love to eat! We have alot of cool places to go around here. My favorites are the chocolate cafe (they have amazing mochas), the new frozen yogurt place, and a good old-fashioned diner-style burger joint.

3. Watch a movie {or two..} with my friends/boyfriend/family/whoever is on my good side.
4. NOT go to the mall, or bowling, or WalMart, or the movie theater.

It's finally Friday!! I successfully completed my first week of school for the year. And I'm still alive! :) I actually did somewhat enjoy getting back into my studies though; however, I'm not so sure that I'll feel the same way about it at this time next week. ;)

One thing I do know for sure, I can't wait to sleep in tomorrow morning!! I can only drink so many cups of coffee to stay awake before it becomes a complete overdose..

Right now I am really enjoying the ability to just write freely on the blog. No topic assignment, no outlining, no topic/concluding sentences..no mode..just writing. lol Maybe I should consider using a little more writing structure in my posts though. ;)

Sorry it has taken me sooo long to post again. Been pretty busy getting ready to start school and spending time with friends & my piano. ;o)

It's almost September!! Getting closer to some of my all-time favorite things! A list of those wonderful things? Yes, you may have it. ;o)

Yes, I love fall.  I love summer, too...but there's just something about fall..♥ The only problem with it is that it is such a short season, and then a long winter follows.. :P

Hello again:) Just finished a nice long day of work. I'm tired. lol

Been doing lots of back to school shopping lately. But since I'm homeschooled I guess you wouldn't really say I was going "back to school"... well anyways, here's what my back to school list looks like:

• Notebooks! My favorites are the colorful ones with like 200 pages & five subjects.
• Lots of mechanical pencils. I strongly prefer mechanical over the regular ones.

• A big pink eraser.

• The cheap tees and jeans that always go on sale around this time of the year.

• A calculator..because I got the wrong one last year and just never went and got the one that I really needed. lol

Ok..yeah..boring list.
I love it when everyone goes back to school though!! haha It's a great thing for those of us who are privledged enough to be home educated. Why? #1. We don't have as long of school days. #2. Our shorter days allow us to go places while others are still in prison..err..school. (e.g. The mall, park/beach) #3. We can do school on weekends and get a weekday off. Well, not all of us.. but my mom lets me do that every once in a while, it's nice. :)

There are a number of reasons why I love being homeschooled. And no, I don't make a habit of doing school in my pajamas. ;o)

Well I hope you are all having a great rest of your summer vacation! I certainly am..and I'm definitely starting to get pretty excited for school. Wow..can't believe I just said that! ♥

I'm baaaack!! Finally. ;o) Spending too many hours on the road this month, I'm liking my house alot right now. haha it feels so good to be home!!

But I did have a really great trip, and it's always so sad to leave! I got to see alot of people that I haven't seen since I was just a pipsqueak, and there was some pretty great food. It was a wonderful time and I can't believe it's over! Now life resumes as normal. Which right now means enjoying the last days of summer, because school is just around the corner...

Hey:) I just gave myself a French manicure, and I love watching my fingernails when I type. lol..yeah, I know.. you're probably thinking about how lame that is. But I love the look of freshly painted nails, especially in motion. ;o)

It's already August 5th! I cannot believe how quickly this summer is passing. I think I say that in almost every post, but seriously this is the fastest summer of my life. lol But I am definitely enjoying it, and it has been very wonderful. :) I'm kinda looking forward to starting this next school year though, I always think it's fun at first..but after a couple weeks of homework and lectures it starts to get old. Fast. haha But every lesson is one lesson closer to being done with school..so I guess if I think if it that way, mayyybbee it will be easier! ..I doubt it. lol;)

I'm going to the beach this weekend, I'm verryy excited! lol I love spending the day by the water, sitting in the warm sand, enjoying the last days of summer.......... I need iced tea.

I'm bacckkk!! =)
My trip was wonderful, but I am soooo happy to be home! I'll have to enjoy being home for this next week and a half though, because then I'm headed on a ten hour drive to go to a friend's wedding. Should be fun:) Gotta love roadtrips. Hopefully this week I will find a dress to wear to the wedding, and learn how to dance at least a little..because I am an absolutely awful dancer. It's just plain embarassing.

Anyways..my trip was great. I spent 20 hours riding on a bus. Twice. haha looonnngg drive! But it wasn't that bad actually, I had my friends with me:)

My 30th post!! Goodness.. I feel like I should be having a celebration or something! Maybe for the 50th? haha ;)

Annnnddd my number of pageviews has been slightly going up, that's super cool:) And it makes me happy! Pageviews = motivation to post more often.  ..just sayin'..

OMW. In exactly a week I'll be on my way to a land I've never travelled to! That's crazy. I cannnn't waiiiittt!!!!! It's going to be amazing! This summer has been amazing. I can't believe I'm already halfway through it though! Stores are already putting out school supplies and advertising for "Back to School" and stuff like that... I mean seriously, they were just putting out Fourth of July decorations and other summery items like 3 weeks ago. Wow time flies. I've really enjoyed spending time getting to know new people and places in this city.. it has definitely been a great first year here! God is so good! :)  But I'm not quite ready for some of my friends to leave for college. That's hard. I wish I was going with them!!!

And if you've never tried this before... bake homemade brownies from scratch. (Not the box. Seriously..) Probably the most amazing tasting things ever. And make sure you make some frosting to go with them.. you'll be glad you did ;)

It's a lovely Saturday! The weather is beautiful, yet I've spent the majority of my day indoors either at home or shopping for my trip. hehehe... ;) I am soo excited! I have almost everything. Today I found some adorable shorts and a couple of tees that were on sale for an amazing price at my favorite store.. Target. ♥ I love Target! And my sister found me an athletic sweatshirt/jacket for only five dollars a few days ago, I'm very happy about that. :)

Anyways.. that's my quick post for today.. Not much, but.....it's the thought that counts, right? haha I have no idea why I said that. I just thought it would sound nice. ;o)

Hellooooooooooo!:)

I'm pretty sure this is probably the best summer ever.. I just thought you should know that. ;) I'm getting really excited for my trip in just about a week!! Ohh my goodness. I can't believe it's already that close! I still have so many things to get. But I am super excited!! I love shopping for vacations, it's so fun! It's about the only time I actually enjoy having to fork over money for makeup and sunscreen. ;)

Hopefully when I get back I'll have some fun stories to tell you:)

Good morning! ♥ It's a beautiful Saturday morning, I have a nice hot cup of coffee, and some time to blog. :) I think it's gonna be a good day!

Every Saturday my sister watches those home decorating shows, and the one that seems to play the most is a really cheesy one where they have to decorate an ugly house to sell it. Seriously, I hate this show. I just watched an episode where they took fairly neutral colored walls, which was something that I thought was a basic home-staging rule--everything neutral!--and they painted all the walls bright orange. I had to put that in bold because I was just sooo surprised. And they were like high-ceiling walls, too.. I mean first of all, not many people want neon walls..second, it's not exactly easy to paint those high walls. haha ok, I'll stop my mini rant. I just can't stand the show! lol ;o)

I am loving my summer!! This is probably the best summer that I have ever had. :)
Yesterday I spent some time out in the sun with a book, I love to read. Aside from my daily Bible reading (currently I'm studying through Genesis, it's amazing!), I've been reading Jane Austen's Emma and Mark Twain's Huckleberry Finn. I know that sounds like a bit of an odd combo, but it works out somehow. haha I guess it just depends on my mood and what I want to read.

Some of my friends are coming to visit me this weekend, I am sooo excited to see them! I haven't seen them for such a long time, so it will be really nice to have this visit. And I'll get to show them around my "new" town:) I'm thinking this will be fun! Not that there's really much to do around here . . . ;)

I am soooo sorry for being so extremely lame when it has come to posting this past week! I've been really busy with all kinds of things, so I honestly haven't had any time. :oP

Today is Independence Day! We've already been celebrating this weekend, it's such a fun time:) I love watching everyone's fireworks all around in the sky, but my poor puppy is terrified of them and she hides in the bathtub and shakes/pants/has a comeplete freakout. Poor thing. Today I'm spending the day relaxing, I already made up for all of the sleep I missed this weekend :) No plans for today yet though. It will probably involve practicing piano and tanning. Hopefully! ;o)

Well I'm going to go get ready, I hate sitting around without being ready for too long lol :)

Oh my goodness, it seems like ages since I last posted! Sincere apologies.. it has been an incredibly busy week for me! It has been completely amazing though. Last week I was really busy working at a kids program at my church, it was a blast! I'm sad it's over, but it was really chaotic so it's nice to be able to relax again:) I also started piano lessons again, so I've been spending alot of time working on my assignments and practicing. I love it:) I had a date this weekend, too, we went to a concert at a local park. It was, of course, amazing! ;o)
And yesterday I went to a museum with a bunch of friends, it was super incredibly fun! It was an amazing day for sure. Today is my rest day, and tomorrow I start over with another busy schedule! I love it though.

Well that's my quick post, I have to go make some dinner now because I am starving! Thanks for reading! ♥

Another busy weekend! It was great though. And it looks like the next few weekends are going to be just as busy! :)

Unfortunately this weekend I wasn't really busy with anything worth blogging about.. mostly car shopping, church!, and friends. ♥

Hello:) Well, today was cool. :)
I went to the mall--I love shopping. I actually found alot of the stuff I was looking for and all for really good prices. It was great! But I spilled a Starbucks mocha all over the floor at Barnes & Noble.. oops. ;) haha Ok honestly it was hilarious once I was over being incredibly embarassed, and I was lucky that I wasn't standing on carpet at the time!! Oh dear. I was mostly just disappointed to have wasted half of a $3.50 drink, seriously!! I think they should have given me another one.. just for being so cute and embarassed. ;o)

I'm going on vacation next month, I am soo excited! It feels like it's an eternity away though. But sadly I'm sure it will be over before I realize it even happened. That's how it always is, huh? :/ I am REALLY looking forward to it though!! The weather where I'm going is gonna be super hot and humid, so I'm already stocking up on pretty smelling sprays, deoderants, soap, etc.. haha;) Luckily Bath & Body Works was having an awesome sale today, so I got to get a few of the things I wanted, plus a few others.. ;)

Well, I have to be going now, still have things to do this evening but I wanted to check in on my blog! ♥

P.S.

Be careful to not hold your coffee (or any other drink for that matter) by the lid. EVER. It's very embarassing to spill in public. Especially when you have to walk around with the evidence all over your jeans. ;)

Sorry it's been a while since my last post, it was quite the busy weekend! :o)

So I'm just sitting here sipping a cup of coffee and eating a homemade cinnamon roll (yes, it's delicious.). Saturday I went with some friends to visit a farm, that was interesting!! lol It was a lot of fun actually, we had a good time walking around and looking at everything. My Converse shoes need some serious dusting off, but luckily it wasn't really too muddy so they aren't too bad. =) We got to see some baby cows..so cute! I love farms. Which I know is funny, because I'm like super girly and all, but I have a special place in my heart for farms & farm animals (especially if the animals are babies!).

Then of course I went to church yesterday, since it was Sunday. :o) I love going to church. ♥

And now I am listening to my sister and her friend play with our dogs.. haha it's funny. Honestly.

And I think that time flies by WAY too fast... I cannot believe that we are almost halfway through June! YIKES! So far it's starting out to be an amazing summer though, and I'm really excited for the rest of it... but I'm afraid of it going by too fast. I don't want it to be over! ;o)

~My list of things to do this summer:

• Go on a trip! I'm thinking that camping sounds fun :)
• Go to the beach. I just moved here last fall, and I still haven't made the trip to see the beach that's only an hour away. Sad, I know.
• Not get a sunburn!
• Try out a new icecream place. I love icecream.. and new places.. so I thought this seemed like a good idea. ;)
• Keep blogging!

Well those are really just a few random things that I want to do.. I don't really have a ton of stuff that I am just dying to do. I pretty much just love typical summer events--bonfires, sand volleyball games, going to county fairs.. etc. :)

I never know how to start my blog posts. I sit down with my computer, go to my blog and open a new post, and then my brain stops. So it's really rainy today, but I'm kinda liking it actually. It's been so hot and sunny for the past week, which is nice, but it's also nice to have a little bit of a break from all of the heat. =)

So since I can't think of anything interesting to blog about.. I guess I could just tell you random facts about me?

I am currently really hungry, but my lunch isn't done yet... I hate waiting for meals. I have never crashed a car or my scooter, and I actually have never come close to crashing either. I love fish tacos, probably one of my absolute favorite foods! Pretty yummy stuff. I love campfires and smores! Especially when the campfire is on the beach, and the smore has extra chocolate. ;o)

I'm a genius.

But I really can't stand spelling errors, they drive me crazy!

I. Am. So. HAPPY! ♥ I've just been thinking a lot lately about how blessed I am to have such amazing, wonderful people in my life! First of all, my family rocks. I love them soo much! And I have the best friends! And the most perfect boyfriend. And the cutest little dogs! ;o)

All I need now are some flowers! haha I have an orchid, and I love it. They are my favorite flowers, I just adore them. I bought a very small started orchid a few months ago, and it thrived.. but it's going through its phase where all the flowers fall off and it looks like its dying. :o( So I need some roses or some sunflowers to fill in for my orchids. haha I really love flowers.

Well I don't really have anything to talk about today.. but I will definitely have something interesting to talk about very soon ;o)

Hello!! ♥

*sigh* . . . Don't you hate it when you have like the BEST dream ever, and then you can't remember it when you wake up? Yes, that happened to me this morning.. such a bummer!! I am pretty sure it was the best dream that anyone ever dreamed, too. :/

This summer has already been SO hotttt! Oh my goodness. It's supposed to get into the 90s again today, I wonder how hot it's going to be later in the summer? I sure miss having a pool when it gets this warm! Maaann it'd be sooo nice to have one this year!

But I'm still enjoying my summer and all of its adventures anyway, even minus a pool. ;o) One of the things that I enjoy most about summer is that I can stay up all night with my sister and watch movies, then sleep (almost) as late as we want the next morning. Last night we watched the original 'Karate Kid', it was my first time seeing it. I saw the new one they made, which honestly I did noooottt like at all. It was weird. But I actually really liked the original, and I'd probably watch it again! I love watching movies from the 80s, it's funny to see the hairstyles and goofy clothes. ;o)
And I finally watched 'Tangled', too. SOOO CUTE! I loved it. lol It was super adorable, I would definitely buy it!

#18 & A few of my favorite things..♥

Here's post #18! And I've been a blogger for about a month now, awesome! It's so much fun. I love it! I thought that maybe I would start "reviewing" products and sharing my opinions about them. I mean that's what the Internet is for, right? Sharing all of my thoughts and opinions? ;o) Today I'm just going to share a few of my favorite things.. ♥

1. DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom perfume. It's my all-time favorite, it's so light and sweet.. It makes me feel cute:)
2. Sinful Colors nail polish. It's very inexpensive, but it stays on for a long time and they have alot of really cool color options. It needs a clear topcoat though, but for a girl on a budget it's a great product!
3. St. Ives Apricot exfoliating facial scrub--I LOVE it! It works really well, and you could even use it on your hands and feet if you so desired:) I also really like their lotions.
4. Blistex lip balm! It's really affordable, it does the job, and I don't leave the house without it.
5. Vaseline. A true must-have product!  It has a million uses, seriously. I like to use it to remove eye makeup, it's super gentle and it works like magic.  It also works well as a moisturizer; I like to use it on my feet (wear socks after applying), elbows, & knees.  I also accidentally discovered that it works as a tanning oil, too. ;) I've even heard of people using it as a lipgloss!
6. TRESemme Shampoo & Conditioner. I really like TRESemme hair products, and they're really affordable. It makes my hair soft and manageable, which is awesome.. because that is just the opposite description of how my hair usually is.
7. Revlon Creme Eyeshadow. This has got to be one of my absolute most favorite things! I love Revlon's creme eyeshadow palettes! They come with four colors for around $5.  I love them! Did I mention that? They're great for everyday use or dressing up.

Well...those are seven of my must-have items! I'll post more in the future, I'm only getting started:) I'd love to hear others' opinions, too! ♥

June 1 ♥

It's finally June! Which pretty much means it's officially summer. ;o) And it is an absolutely gorgeous day! Too bad I don't have anything planned. I'll probably have to paint my toe nails.. which will be the hardest decision of my day, because I can never decide what color to paint them. I'm thinking a bright summery color, I love jewel tones. Purple? I think yes.

I'm still working on trying to find a new design for my blog, I want to try to do something a little more elegant. . . I just can't decide what I want to do.. it's pretty obvious that I'm not too good at the whole decision making thing, huh? =)

Happy Memorial Day!!
I went to the flea market today! :)

That was an interesting experience.  It was actually lots of fun, there was sooo much stuff to look at!! Oh my goodness. I didn't end up buying anything, I was just enjoying looking at all of the random things they were trying to sell; there were some very interesting items. I did buy some amazinggg doughnuts at an Amish bakery though, I had to. They were soooo good! But being that it is Memorial day and all, the flea market was jam packed with people. All kinds of people. haha ;o)

Now to spend the rest of the afternoon chillin' with my dog and eating potato salad. Yumm:)

Sunday...the beginning of a new week. Not much going on this week for me.. tomorrow is Memorial day, but I'm not doing any of the traditional stuff like going to the lake or eating hotdogs. I'm thinking of going to the flea market, sounds like fun! I've never been to one, but I think it looks like alot of fun so I'm super excited! Unfortunately I don't have any money to spend. haha oh well:) I'm sure there will be alot of stuff to look at.
My current favorite things: Summery cotton dresses, brightly-colored handbags, bold-print scarves, and cute flipflops. I especially love getting a good deal on them! But who doesn't? :)

Gooooooood morninggg! :o)

FINALLY Saturday again! It's been a week since my last post? That's sad. I really need to post more often.. but I feel like I don't really do anything interesting enough to blog about. ;o)

All of my other friends are finallllyyy done with school! YES! That makes me soooo happy! Except that now they all just have to work and stuff.. so I still won't really get to hang out with them all that much. But we're all planning to do some pretty fun stuff this summer, like going to baseball games..going to the lake..shopping with the girls.. all that fun crazy ultimately AWESOME stuff! =D

So I guess that eating super healthy is kinda trendy right now. hahaha Ok, you know it's true. But I think it's actually awesome, because I like being able to go to a restaraunt and have healthier options. (But I still get fries instead of apple slices. . .)

But I'm trying to make other better choices!;) I'm going to try to go the whole summer (and hopefully longer) without drinking soda. It's just a small thing, but it's something that I think will help me make more beneficial choices..and I really needed a goal, because I don't have anything to do.. ;o)

Wellllll I should go.. I need to go put some makeup on. haha;) I'm sure the world would appreciate that VERY much! ♥ Thanks for reading! I wish I had more followers though.. ;o)

I can't believe it's already getting close to the end of May!! CRAZY. Time goes by way too fast. It is a beautiful morning today, I love it! Sitting outside with a cozy sweatshirt and a warm cup of coffee..I love mornings. Especially Saturday mornings!!
I can't believe it has already been a week since my amazing weekend on the beach! Seriously. I miss it sooo much, I think I need to go again really soon


Anyways.. life is good! I went out for breakfast with my bestest friend this morning, I love going out with friends! And I bought a new book, it's the start of summer reading!! Then my boyfriend stopped by after work to say hi.. and then I had dinner and am currently watching AFV. :) And I spent about an hour tanning and reading, that was awesome.


By the way, never EVER let your younger siblings get a hold of annoying musical intruments such as recorders. =P

I'm back!! My weekend was great, the beach was fantastic. Such a nice break! I so wish I could do that every weekend. Next time I think I'd like to drive though, a road trip sounds a lot less crazy than spending a whole day at the airport hurrying and waiting.. :P
But it was worth it for the tan lines and sand between my toes! :)
But I got home today, so life is back to normal now. I'm already totally unpacked and ready for bed now! Travelling sure takes alot out of you. I tried to learn how to surf when I was at the beach.. but it was just observation. I never actually went out on the water with a board. I learned alot! ;o)

The weather is sooo nice out right now, I love the warm sunshine!!!  Today was awesome.  So I checked out what my name meaning is today, and it was just "feminine". I was hoping for something a little cooler.. like "awesome", or "amazing".. but feminine is okay, too. ;) I love checking out name meanings! It's fun, and sometimes a little funny;)  If you've never looked up yours, I would definitely suggest that you do so. =)
So my first month of summer is starting very well! I love summer!! I'm sure you realize that by now though! ;)
I'm going on a trip this weekend!! Super excited!! But I'm gonna be all mysterious and not tell you where I'm going;) But there's gonna be a beach..and some shopping..and some serious relaxation that I am really looking forward to! I can't wait! I love four day weekends. It will be a really nice break and a great start to my summer adventures! Drinking coffee on the beach, yeah that sounds awesome:)

I painted my nails red today:) I don't usually use bright colors on my fingernails, but I'm feeling extra bold today! ;)

Good morning :o)
So far my day is off to a pretty good start. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and I cleaned my bathroom! I'm sure you're really glad to know that my bathroom is clean. So now I am finally sitting down with my computer and a cup of reheated coffee =)
Today I realized that I am friends with quite a few nerds on my social networking sites. So today's date: May 4th. Apparently, if you're a fan of star wars, it's "May the Fourth be with You" day. Oh dear... hehehe.. ok, so it is kinda funny in its own way. I love my friend :o)
And today is Day #3 of blogging! So far I have like 29 pageviews.. but probably 28 of those are from me lol ;)  I think everyone should start a blog. That way they can follow my blog;)
I also decided that I'm trying a new font in honor of day 3:)

So maybe I should also tell you a little more about me today...
I love travelling, but I hardly ever get to go anywhere. I've never travelled outside of the US, but someday I want to visit Africa, Australia, Israel, the list is actually almost endless. haha:)But my wallet's contents aren't quite as endless as my dreams, so some of those likely won't be coming true. ;P
I don't like seafood.
I drive a scooter.

I love to bake, and my specialty = cupcakes! Kidding. I always mess up cupcakes when I bake them. But I can make some serious muffins:)

I had to go to the store and buy makeup, wow..ouch!! I can't believe how much we girls spend on making ourselves pretty. But most of us won't go without it, so we'll spend the money on it. I was glad that I had some coupons though, they helped alot. I hate buying beauty products without a coupon or a sale, otherwise I feel like I'm spending wayyy too much! I really don't love spending money, but I love shopping!! Another thing I love about summer: buying new flipflops. I love them! I try to buy a few new colors every year, I'm slowly building my rainbow flipflop collection. ;o)
So I have a pretty funny (yet incredibly embarassing if you were me!!) story for you.  So I had a date the other night with the cutest guy EVER. Oh my goodness. I was so excited about it, and I planned my outfit for it like three days in advance, practiced hairstyles all week, and even bought new eyeshadow. So what happens the day of the date? I wake up with a ginormous, massive, monstrous zit that appeared on my chin while I was sleeping. NO!!! And of course it's the kind that you just can't miss. Uggghhh.. I have pretty decent skin, so a monster zit like that seriously stands out and nothing I put on it helps at all. So here I am, it's the day of my date, and I have a zit big enough to have its very own zipcode.
Anyways, the date itself went really well..except that I could totally see him checking it half the time! Sooo embarassing!!!! I don't blame him though, it was a beast. He's a really nice guy, so of course he doesn't say anything and acts like he doesn't notice.. but someone would have to be blind not to see it. To top it off, when I got home I realized that I had somehow maaged to decorate my shirt with mustard.. Lovely.
But it was overall a great night, despite my the bruising of my pride, it was really amazing. (And he still called me after it was over!!!!!) ♥
Well hopefully you thought that was interesting and got a giggle from it ;o)

Good morning!  Day two of blogging, and I'm not sick of it yet! ;o)
I love mornings.. and thanks to being a homeschooler I am already done with school this year! So I got out a few weeks before most of my friends. SCORE!  I love mornings when I'm not in school. I can get up a little later than usual, but I still like to wake up and watch the morning news and drink a hot cup of coffee, spend some time with my dogs on the couch, and take my time styling my hair. :o)

I love hairstyling, but I definitely would not want to be a cosmetologist. haha I like to do hair, but I would not enjoy doing it for strangers! ;o)
Well I will probably post something else later, but my dog is growling at me right now because she wants to go outside. I love my puppies:)  Anyways, thank you for reading! And let me know what you think!! PLEASE!! :)

Dear Diary....
Yes, it's Charlotte...again:) Today was interesting. My mp3 player died right in the middle of my favorite song (ugh!); so I had to finish curling my hair without any tunes. I considered punishing it for it's act of unkindness, however, I really would have just been punishing myself since I would be the only one truly suffering the consequence. So it's charging. :)
Monday is almost over! I'm sure some are rejoicing:)  Actually I don't really mind Mondays, it's a fresh start to a new week. And every day is a blessing:)

I've also learned some interesting things recently. Like that if you mix lemon-lime soda with raspberry lemonade, it's pretty amazing!  I actually think mixing lemon-lime soda (or ginger ale) with anything is pretty amazing. Yet it's not quite as amazing as a good cup of coffee with your favorite creamer. That's the best. For sure.
Summer is almost heeeerrree!! Sooo exciting!! I love summer, it's by far my favorite season.  I'm more than looking forward to it!
anyways.. I guess since I already posted once today, I should keep this one short.. even though I could sit here and write ALL day long.

I am SO excited to start a blog! hehehe.. Ok, so I honestly am not really sure what exactly to blog about just yet...but I hope that people will fnd it interesting! :)
I suppose I will start off by telling you a little bit about me...
Well my name is Charlotte Roes. Which I'm hoping you have already realized. ;) I overuse smiley faces when I write, sorry about that:) I'm just a generally very smiley person. I love music, I play piano and guitar. LOVE IT. But I won't post any annoying videos of me singing/dancing/"performing" like some very famous yet intensely ridiculed online video sensations. ;)
 I am kindof addicted to coffee...but I prefer homemade. I love my dogs, probably a little too much. My family means the world to me! I don't know what I would do without them! I love funny, silly, clean and comedy FILLED movies! I can't stand a movie that makes me cry. I also think I love blogging...:)
Well, hopefully I can come up with some good stories to post on here in the future. And hopefully my view counter will rise in numbers.
